Market report for area 51: Brookhaven, Chamblee and North Dekalb County, Georgia
Everytime I meet with certain Sellers or Buyers I take great joy in telling them that they live in area 51
. The FMLS gives each area of Metro Atlanta an area number.
Area 51 is the pie shaped area of Atlanta that I do 75% of my business in; which is located West of I 85, East of GA 400, and South of I 285:

This area has faired a little better compared to many other areas South of Atlanta with the downturn of the market that started in June of 2008.
If you look at the front page of www.AtlantaBrookhaven.com you will see the neighborhoods covered by Area 51.
Here are the market statistics for Area 51 for the 6 month period from January 1 through July 1, 2010:

Be sure to ask your agent to show you what his or her personal stats are- that way you know if they are really selling homes, not just listing them.
